Friday July 21 will be the turn of the fifth band qualified for the final of the Bababoom band contest, Cultural sound from Lecce.
CULTURAL SOUND BAND is an emerging Pugliese Roots Reggae Band, faithful to the groove and sounds of the original styles of the '70s and' 80s.
The band started its activity in 2011 supporting various local singers. In 2013 he has the honor of opening the concert of Dennis Bovell and playing with him the famous DUBMASTER and BETTAH. In the same year, released the first release of the band, a single in 7 ": A song titled JAH ELEMENTS sung by BROTHER CULTURE (UK). Riddim conceived, played, recorded and mixed by CULTURAL SOUND CREW. In 2014, the band supports the great EARL 16 in a concert that offers the opportunity to listen to songs like REGGAE SOUND, LOVE IS A FEELING, JAH GENERAL, NO MASH UP OF DANCE and many more. Just this meeting makes it possible a year later, in 2015, to release the first self-produced Italian Roots Records vinyl label 12 "with the title REVOLUTION IS GONNA BLOW, with 4 tracks: a sang with Earl16 and 3 instrumental versions. In 2016, after much effort, the group produced its first album, "Cultural Sound", on its Italian Roots Records label: a collection of unpublished productions entirely created by the band. 16 tracks between songs, collaborations, versions and dubs, available on a physical CD and Digital HD. In the same year, the band created and played riddim for the latest production by Johnny Osbourne: "Mental Poverty", also on Italian vinyl vinyl 12 "Roots Records label. Current training consists of bass, drums, keyboards and guitars accompanying a singer and a mc.
